Elena Patyaeva—a friend of Seda Suleymanova, who disappeared three years ago after being forcibly returned from St. Petersburg to Chechnya—was detained in Grozny. On August 23, Patyaeva stood by the monument to journalists who died for freedom of speech, holding a sign that read: "I demand an investigation into the murder of Seda Suleymanova." This was reported by the human rights project "Slovo Zashchite" (Word for the Defense).

For a year and a half, the colony was given to Adam Hajiyev for participating in protests in Dagestan against mobilization for the war with Ukraine. He was accused of using unnecessary violence against a government official.
Hajiyev participated in a rally against mobilization on September 25-26 in Makhachkala. Of the participants, 259 reports were drawn up and about 30 criminal cases were initiated.
