A resident of Dagestan was sentenced to compulsory labor for calling against mobilization

The Karabudakhkent district court of Dagestan imposed 120 hours of compulsory labor on Rasul Bammatov. He was found guilty of calls against military mobilization.

According to investigators, in September 2022, a man posted a call against mobilization for war with Ukraine in a local WhatsApp group. He did not admit guilt and said that someone else had used his phone. The Supreme Court of Dagestan approved the decision of the lower court, which accused Bammatov under Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (organization of mass simultaneous stay and (or) movement of citizens in public places, resulting in a violation of public order).
