A resident of Ingushetia, Adam Kotiev, was charged with concealing information about crimes committed. He was fined 25,000 rubles for failure to report.
According to the investigation, Kotiev failed to inform authorities about his acquaintances, who were accused of attacking a traffic police checkpoint in 2023. The incident occurred on the border between the Nazran District of Ingushetia and the Prigorodny District of North Ossetia.
The court verdict states that in March 2023, Kotiev spoke with another resident who admitted to pledging allegiance to the terrorist organization Islamic State. It is believed that Kotiev, upon learning of this, failed to inform the relevant authorities.
As a reminder, an attack took place at the border checkpoint on the night of March 28, 2023. Several individuals opened fire on traffic police officers, injuring two officers. The suspects included Mikail Moshkhoev, Ramazan Eldiev, Amir Bokov, and Amirkhan Gurazhev. More than 30 people have been detained in connection with the case, some of whom have already been sentenced. Several residents of Ingushetia, including Amirkhan Gurazhev, were killed during a special operation conducted in Karabulak in March 2024.
