Residents of Dagestan were put on the wanted list for participating in the war on the side of Ukraine
A court in Makhachkala arrested two residents of Dagestan in absentia. They were also put on the wanted list on charges of treason.
According to investigators, in February 2023, the men joined the volunteer formation of foreign mercenaries of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and continue to participate in hostilities against the Russian Federation. They left Russian territory in 2012 and 2017, after which they moved to Ukraine.
Previously, the Investigative Committee of Russia opened criminal cases against about 600 foreign citizens involved in the conflict in Ukraine. We are talking about representatives of 46 countries. Most of these individuals have citizenship of the United States, Great Britain, Canada, Israel, Germany, Georgia, Lithuania and Latvia.
