The parents of activist Mansur Movlaev, previously kidnapped in Chechnya, have been released and returned home. This was reported by human rights activist Maxim Rudnev.
The Kirovsky District Court of Makhachkala sentenced Rufina Pirveledova to 2.5 years probation. She was found guilty of participating in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation).
According to investigators, in 2021 the woman joined one of the divisions of the extremist association - the executive committee of the Makhachkala Council of People's Deputies of the Dagestan Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic within the RSFSR/USSR. She created flyers and brochures on her laptop and hid them in her home.
Rufina Pirveledova’s guilt, according to the court, was that she agitated Russians not to pay taxes and utility bills and acted with like-minded people against the state authorities of the Russian Federation. At the trial, Pirveledova admitted guilt, so she was given a relatively lenient sentence. For participation in an extremist organization (Part 2 of Article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), she faced up to six years in prison.
