Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

The Supreme Court of Dagestan, at the request of the prosecutor's office, added an additional six months of restriction of freedom to the term assigned to Ruslan Abdullaev. Previously, he was found guilty of participating in the extremist movement of “citizens of the USSR.”
According to investigators, Abdullaev and other members of the cell involved new participants in the activities of “citizens of the USSR”, denied the constitutional system of the modern Russian Federation, and interfered with the legitimate activities of government bodies.
In September 2023, after serving two years and two months in a pre-trial detention center, Ruslan Abdullaev was released. However, the prosecutor's office asked to tighten the sentence by imposing a restriction of freedom for a year in the form of a ban on changing place of residence and leaving the municipality without permission from regulatory authorities.
Earlier, other members of the movement were sentenced to suspended sentences: Sharap Davudov - to two, Zainulla Abdullaev - to three and a half years.
