During the annual "Year in Review" press conference, Russian President Vladimir Putin, responding to a question about support for young families, noted the tradition of early marriages in the North Caucasus. He said he believed this was "right" and suggested "following their example," citing Ramzan Kadyrov's large family.
A resident of North Ossetia faces up to five years in prison for damaging a ballot in the presidential election.
A criminal case was opened against a 30-year-old resident of the village of Arkhonskaya (North Ossetia) Georgy G. for public calls for terrorism (Part 1 of Article 205.2). The reason was a spoiled ballot in the Russian presidential elections in March of this year.
On the ballot, the man drew a picture of a hanged man, wrote the slogan “glory to Ukraine” and the word “fucking” in the column with Putin’s name. According to investigators, in this way he called on “an indefinite circle of people” to hang Putin and forcibly change power in the country “to serve the interests of Ukraine.” Georgiy faces from three to five years in prison.
