The fifth President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, expressed her condolences to Ukraine after the missile strike on Sumy, which took dozens of lives. She spent the past Christian holiday in these thoughts.
"On Palm Sunday, when Ukrainians gathered in peaceful prayer, Russia launched a missile strike on Sumy - civilians were killed and wounded. Today, my thoughts are with the people of Ukraine," Zurabishvili shared on social media.
Yesterday, April 13, two Russian ballistic missiles hit the center of the city of Sumy, located in northern Ukraine. According to the country's authorities, 34 people were killed and 117 were wounded as a result of the attack. It is noted that this was the deadliest strike on Ukraine in 2025.
