Journalist from Dagestan recognized as a foreign agent

Journalist of the Dagestan publication “Novoye Delo” Idris Yusupov has been recognized as a foreign agent. The Ministry of Justice justified the inclusion of the activist in this list by his participation in the creation of materials for foreign agents and the dissemination of false information about the authorities of the Russian Federation.

Recently, Idris Yusupov was searched. Security forces seized mobile phones, laptops, flash drives, including those of his family members. He was a witness to the riots at the Makhachkala airport, although he had nothing to do with them.

Idris Yusupov regularly holds pickets in support of his colleagues. In particular, he demands the release of political prisoner Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, sentenced to 17 years in prison. In addition, he opposed the mobilization of the residents of Dagestan to the “NWO”.
