Serviceman Ali Kochaliyev from Kabardino-Balkaria was sentenced by the Nalchik Garrison Military Court to five years of imprisonment. He was found guilty of unauthorized abandonment of a military unit stationed in Stavropol.

The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) said it would not be able to send an observation mission to the local elections in Georgia scheduled for October 4. The organization explained that the invitation from the government came too late — less than a month before voting day. This leaves no time to prepare and conduct full-fledged monitoring in accordance with the ODIHR methodology.

Enver Seitosmanov, serving a 17-year sentence in Correctional Colony No. 16 (Salavat, Bashkortostan) on charges of involvement in the Hizb ut-Tahrir organization, was placed in a punishment cell (SHIZO). Polish MEP Krzysztof Breiza called on the European Commission led by Ursula von der Leyen to urgently intervene in the situation with the detention in Armenia of Georgian fighter Georgi Kinoyan, who fought for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
