A lawyer from Dagestan said about the pressure of the Federal Penitentiary Service

Complaints from the Federal Penitentiary Service became the reason for the transfer of the lawyer Aza Aliyeva from the Bar Association of the Saratov Region to work in Moscow. According to her, the penitentiary system is unhappy with the fact that it protects the rights of prisoners. It is reported by Kavkaz.Realii.

Earlier, the Chamber of Advocates of the Saratov region did not satisfy the demand of the Federal Penitentiary Service to punish Aza Aliyeva. In addition, the National Association of Lawyers of Russia (NAJUR) defended her. Recall that the lawyer voiced information about the torture of natives of Dagestan in the colony of Kalmykia and violence in pre-trial detention center No. 1 of the Saratov region.

Aza Aliyeva defends the rights of victims in the institutions of the Federal Penitentiary Service and tries to protect them from pressure from violators, the National Association of Lawyers of Russia emphasized. Thanks to the work of human rights activists, facts of torture, abuse of power and violations of the rights of prisoners were revealed. NAJUR considers it unacceptable to harass lawyers for their professional activities.
