Activist from Dagestan sent home without documents after arrest in Moscow

Ulker Gashimova, a 23-year-old activist from Derbent, detained in early May at Sheremetyevo Airport, was sent by plane to Dagestan after serving two administrative arrests. After landing, the FSB officers took away her documents.

Earlier, a court in Moscow arrested Ulker Gashimova for 10, and then for 15 days under the article on disobedience to the demand of a representative of the authorities when crossing the state border. The girl tried to fly abroad from Sheremetyevo Airport.

Ulker Gashimova spoke in support of Ukraine and for the independence of the peoples of the Russian Federation. She tried to fly to Belgrade in order to apply for political asylum in the Netherlands during a transfer. After the girl was detained, searches were also carried out at her mother's place of residence in Derbent.
