Armenia and Azerbaijan continue to work on a peace treaty

Armenia received from Azerbaijan the 10th package of proposals on the draft peace treaty. This was announced by the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan.

“The process is dynamic, sometimes there is progress, sometimes not. But we are working,” Grigoryan shared.

On June 12, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that the signing of a peace treaty with Azerbaijan could take place within a month. A little earlier, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said that Yerevan had provided Baku with another draft peace agreement.

According to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, Baku and Yerevan continue efforts to normalize bilateral relations and make peace. He claims that peace has already been ensured in the South Caucasus.

Let us remind you that Azerbaijan and Armenia withdrew Russian peacekeepers and border guards from their territories. In addition, Armenia has taken a direct course towards rapprochement with the West, rejecting any attempts to interact with Moscow.
