The natural disaster that struck the North Caucasus and southern Russia continues to cause serious damage. Flooded homes, hail-destroyed crops, overturned ships, and human tragedies—the consequences of this unruly weather are becoming increasingly tangible.
Yerevan is ready for a full settlement of diplomatic relations with Ankara without preconditions, as well as for the opening of the land border. This was stated by the Special Representative of Armenia for the settlement of Armenian-Turkish relations Ruben Rubinyan.
He added that Armenia expects Turkey to take action to implement the agreement on unblocking the border, which was partially opened in 2022 for third-country nationals and holders of diplomatic passports. In addition, the Margara checkpoint on the Armenian-Turkish border has already been repaired and is ready to open. In the future, it is planned to reconstruct the historic bridge on the border.
A little earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gave an interview to Turkish journalists for the first time and took a photo with them against the backdrop of the Armenian flag.
