The Kyiv District Court of Simferopol remanded four Crimean Tatar women: Esma Nimetulayeva, Elviza Aliyeva, Nasiba Saidova, and Fevziye Osmanova, in pretrial detention for two months. The hearing was held behind closed doors, with limited access for support.
Aslan Cherkesov denied compensation for torture in prison

The Supreme Court of Kabardino-Balkaria refused to pay half a million rubles to Aslan Cherkesov, a native of the republic. He sued for torture conditions.
During 2019-2020 Cherkesov was held in prison No. 2 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. He was regularly and without justification placed in a punishment cell, where he spent 600 days. There was no ventilation in the cell, it was damp and cold, the staff turned off the batteries and refused to give out warm clothes.
In 2011, Aslan Cherkesov was sentenced to 20 years on charges of murdering a football fan in Moscow. Subsequently, the prisoner repeatedly complained about torture in different colonies, including on religious and ethnic grounds.
