Azerbaijan and Armenia spoke about the positive consequences of the upcoming signing of a peace treaty

Mutual claims in international courts will be withdrawn after the signing of a peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This was stated by Elnur Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.

"After the Patriotic War, Azerbaijan filed interstate claims against Armenia in international courts in connection with the 30-year occupation, ethnic cleansing and other international crimes... There are ongoing trials in the European Court of Human Rights, the International Court of Justice, as well as the International Arbitration Court," Mammadov noted.

The day before, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said that the OSCE Minsk Group would be dissolved after the signing of the agreement with Baku.

"After the signing of the peace treaty, it will be possible to consider that the conflict has come to an end in institutional terms, and it will be possible to state that there is no need for a mediation format," Mirzoyan said.
