Azerbaijan has sent nearly 40 tons of equipment for critical infrastructure facilities to Ukraine. The shipment is intended for the railway system, which—like the country's energy grid—continues to operate while under attack by the Russian army. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine announced the new delivery.

The equipment passed through the ministry's logistics hub, from where it was dispatched to a regional railway division.
The ministry notes that aid is distributed via this hub on an almost daily basis. Equipment essential for the operation of the energy grid and other critical infrastructure damaged by Russian attacks is sent from here to various regions across the country.

Kyiv expressed gratitude to Azerbaijan for its support, extending special appreciation to the company STP Global Cable for its role in supplying the equipment.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Azerbaijan has regularly supplied Ukraine with humanitarian aid and equipment to restore energy and other critical infrastructure. According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, the total value of Azerbaijani aid since 2022 has exceeded $45 million. Specifically, Baku has provided Kyiv with generators, transformers, cabling, specialized machinery, and passenger buses.

These deliveries are taking place against the backdrop of disagreements between Moscow and Baku regarding the Ukraine issue. In July, Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov described Azerbaijan's stance in support of Ukraine's territorial integrity as "mistaken." At the same time, he emphasized that Moscow does not view these differences as an obstacle to the continued development of relations between the two countries.
