Azerbaijani opponent starves in detention for 50 days and is unable to walk

Popular Front Party activist Zamin Salev has been starving in the detention facility for 50 days. During this time, he lost 37 kg and his health has deteriorated dramatically. This was reported by his lawyer Neymat Kerimli.

"Salaev can not walk on his own and he was led to a meeting by the officers of the detention centre», said the lawyer and noted that the prisoner is still not provided with medical assistance. An arrest appeal had been filed 15 days earlier, but no response had been received to date.

Recall that Zamin Salaev demands the release and termination of the fabricated criminal case against him. He was arrested on 8 February on charges of hooliganism and the use of force. Salaev claimed that the accusation against him was false. He wasn’t attacking anyone, he was defending himself from an unknown passerby with a knife.
