Most Georgians support joining the EU

According to a recent telephone survey conducted by CRRC-Georgia, the vast majority of Georgians are Western-oriented and support integration into the European Union.

It turned out that about 78% of respondents have a negative attitude towards the prospect of abolishing the visa-free regime with the EU and support the country's accession to the EU. This support is especially strong among young people (18-34 years old), where it reaches 86%. In older age groups, it also remains high, but slightly decreases: 76% (35-54 years old) and 71% (55+).

The survey also showed that if the visa-free regime is suspended, more than half of the population will blame the current government for this.
