The United Kingdom has declared its readiness to counter attempts by Russia and other external forces to interfere in Armenia's electoral process. Minister of State Lio Doughty emphasized that London is committed to supporting electoral integrity and the security of the information environment during elections.
"We remain committed to supporting lasting peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan, as well as protecting Armenia's electoral integrity and democratic resilience. We will counter any attempts to manipulate information or interfere from outside," Doughty emphasized.
Last year, UK Under-Secretary of State for Defence James Heappey noted that London recognizes the Armenian government's decision to suspend its membership in the CSTO and is ready to support Armenia in the face of "threats emanating from Russia."
