Former State Duma deputy Klintsevich was denied entry to Armenia

Former State Duma deputy and senator of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, previously also a well-known Kremlin propagandist Franz Klintsevich was denied entry to Armenia.

He flew to Yerevan on a private visit to meet with people who helped him install a monument to veterans of the Afghan war. However, after checking his documents, border guards turned Klintsevich away, saying that he would have to return to Russia.

“The border guards told me that I was not allowed to enter. <...> I was supposed to return home on Saturday. As a result, I flew to Moscow at 12 midnight on Friday. No one explained to me the reasons why I was suddenly denied entry,” the former MP said.

Klintsevich is a member of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party. From 1999 to 2015, he was a State Duma deputy, and in 2015, he moved to the Federation Council. He actively spoke on Russian television in support of the "SVO" and all actions of the Kremlin.
