Chechnya and Dagestan are among the leaders in terms of life expectancy and the state of health of the population

The healthiest regions of the Russian Federation are the Leningrad Region, Chechnya and Dagestan. A healthy lifestyle is popular there, and the consumption of alcohol and tobacco is low, which ensures a long life expectancy. This was reported in the Higher School of Economics.

Experts have confirmed that the absence of bad habits and a healthy lifestyle prolong life. In particular, residents of the Caucasus republics, Moscow and St. Petersburg live an average of 76-78 years, while in Chukotka, Tuva, Transbaikalia, the Amur Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region, life expectancy is 67-68 years. At the same time, in the North Caucasus they consume less than 3 liters of alcohol per year, and in the same Chukotka - more than 12 liters.

In terms of popularity of sports, the northern and southern regions are leading at the same time: the Murmansk region, Chechnya and Dagestan, Sakhalin, Chukotka (25-45% of the population).
