The day before, on April 18, 117 flooded residential buildings were reported.
In addition to the floods, the republic was affected by large landslides. In the Dakhadaevsky District, 17 houses were destroyed and another 87 buildings were damaged. The Levashinsky District was also affected by the disaster.
More than 3,000 volunteers from 14 regions, including student groups, the Red Cross, medical volunteers, the "Movement of the First," the People's Front, and other organizations, are helping to eliminate the consequences of the emergency in Dagestan. They have reportedly pumped out 113,000 tons of water, equivalent to the volume of 50 large swimming pools.
