The case of the murder of a Russian general, in which natives of Ingushetia are involved, has been sent to court

The case of Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov's murder in Moscow has been sent to court. Among the defendants are Ingush natives Batukhan Tochiyev and Ramazan Padiyev. Along with Akhmadzhon Kurbonov and Robert Safaryan, they are accused of participating in a terrorist organization, committing a terrorist attack, and other crimes.

According to investigators, Tochiyev and Padiyev were not directly involved in the murder, but provided logistical support by providing shelter for one of the perpetrators. The search for other individuals involved in the crime, including a Ukrainian citizen who is on the international wanted list, is ongoing.

In December 2024, Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, Chief of the Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Defense Troops of the Russian Armed Forces, was killed when his scooter exploded near the entrance to his apartment building in Moscow. A day later, security forces captured the first suspect, a native of Uzbekistan, who, after interrogation, said he had acted on instructions from Ukraine.
