Former Prime Minister of Georgia criticized the opposition

Former Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili held his first briefing as head of the ruling Georgian Dream party.

According to Garibashvili, the goal of the Georgian Dream is to gain a constitutional majority in parliamentary elections. He also noted that Georgia is now in a leading position in security and anti-corruption ratings.

In addition, the ex-prime minister criticized the opposition. “There is no real opposition in the country; everyone is involved in the game of the United National Movement party founded by Saakashvili and are his servants. We will not allow traitors and enemies to destroy the country again,” Garibashvili said.

On February 8, the Georgian parliament expressed confidence in the new government led by Irakli Kobakhidze. His predecessor Irakli Garibashvili resigned and became chairman of the ruling party.
