In Crimea, police officers issued human rights activist Abdureshit Dzhepparov a warning against violating the law. Law enforcement officials explained the document's origins in connection with the upcoming holiday on May 9th, but such actions typically occur shortly before the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Deportation of the Crimean Tatar People (May 18th).
Armenia should in the future withdraw from the CSTO, EAEU and CIS and continue relations with Russia exclusively in a bilateral format. This point is contained in the declaration of the forum “Strategic Future: Armenia-Europe”, which took place in Brussels. At the event, Yerevan was represented by the Secretary of the RA Security Council Armen Grigoryan.
“We will support the full integration of Armenia into the European Union, into the Euro-Atlantic security system, and into the development of democracy and human rights,” the declaration says. At the same time, the document also contains a demand for the country’s authorities to withdraw from pro-Russian regional organizations. Including from the CSTO (local analogue of NATO), the EAEU (economic bloc), the CIS (formal cooperation of a number of post-Soviet states).
