The heads of Armenia and Azerbaijan expressed condolences in connection with the death of the Iranian President in a plane crash

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan sent a telegram of condolences to the spiritual leader of Iran Ali Khamenei in connection with the death of the country's President Ebrahim Raisi and the delegation accompanying him. The Armenian prime minister wished strength and perseverance to the government and people of Iran.

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also expressed his condolences in connection with the tragedy.

On May 19, nine people died in a helicopter crash in Iran. Among them are President Raisi, Foreign Minister Abdollahian, the Supreme Leader's representative in the East Azerbaijan province Hashim, the governor of the East Azerbaijan province Rahmati, the head of the security service of the Iranian President Mousavi, as well as pilots and technical personnel.

The helicopter was discovered 30 kilometers from the village of Taval. According to preliminary data, it fell on a mountain and caught fire.
