Georgia's ruling party, Georgian Dream, has prepared a package of amendments to the Administrative and Criminal Codes that will toughen penalties for illegal actions committed during assemblies and demonstrations. This was announced by the party's parliamentary leader, Irakli Kirtskhalia.

The FSB in Stavropol announced the detention of an Azerbaijani citizen suspected of preparing terrorist attacks.
It is reported that the man allegedly planned, on the instructions of some “Ukrainian curators,” to make explosive devices for attacks in Yessentuki and Stavropol, including on the buildings of law enforcement agencies. A criminal case has been opened under the article on “preparing for a terrorist attack.”
“An Azerbaijani citizen has been detained in Stavropol Krai, who proactively joined a Ukrainian terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation, who, on the instructions of its leaders, conducted a detailed reconnaissance of a number of sites intended for committing a sabotage and terrorist act, in particular, administrative buildings of law enforcement agencies and transport infrastructure in the city of Yessentuki and the city of Stavropol,” the FSB reported.
This arrest took place against the backdrop of a previous verdict against a Russian citizen, a native of Azerbaijan, who was sentenced to five years for “cooperation with Ukrainian military intelligence.”
