Georgia has been named one of the top 20 most attractive travel destinations in September by the British independent travel magazine Wanderlust Magazine. The country ranked sixth in the publication's list.

Wanderlust considers September a good time to travel: after the summer season ends, travel becomes cheaper, and the weather in many European countries becomes more comfortable.

The authors of the rating recommend starting your exploration of Georgia in Tbilisi, but advise not limiting yourself to the capital. Other places worth visiting include ancient Mtskheta and Batumi on the Black Sea coast.

For those looking to see other regions of the country, Wanderlust suggests heading to western Georgia, to Kutaisi and Prometheus Cave. Another recommended destination is Svaneti, where tourists are offered the chance to experience the local flavor and nature.

Sicily, the Japanese island of Hokkaido, Corsica, the US state of Maine, and Portugal ranked ahead of Georgia in the list. The authors named Argentina as the next top destination after Georgia.
