Berlin has recalled its ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, for consultations. The decision, made by German Foreign Minister Johann Wadepoel, is intended to determine how to proceed, the ministry announced.

On November 4, Georgian opposition parties will hold a rally on Tbilisi's Rustaveli Avenue demanding that the results of the parliamentary elections be annulled.
Observers note that the opposition may be preparing for tent protests. The leader of the "Coalition for Change" Nika Gvaramia appealed to citizens via social networks with a call to donate or sell tents.
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili, who is under arrest, also called on society to start protests. According to him, any group can independently express a protest and not wait for parties.
"I believe that such active citizens exist. Mass self-organization is extremely important now, the parties do their job, you do yours," Saakashvili said.
According to the Central Election Commission of Georgia, the ruling party Georgian Dream received almost 54% of the votes, the opposition Coalition for Changes – 11%, Unity – National Movement – 10%, Strong Georgia – 8.8%, Gakharia for Georgia – 7.8%. The opposition, as well as most governments of European countries and the United States, recognized the elections as falsified.
