The United Kingdom has declared its readiness to counter attempts by Russia and other external forces to interfere in Armenia's electoral process. Minister of State Lio Doughty emphasized that London is committed to supporting electoral integrity and the security of the information environment during elections.
A native of Chechnya, Said-Mukhamad Dzhumaev, recognized as a political prisoner by the Memorial human rights center, was released from a prison colony in the Tambov region. He served a five-year sentence for clashes with security forces during a protest in support of Alexei Navalny in Moscow in 2021.
The young man was met at the gates of the prison by his mother and numerous relatives. Dzhumaev expressed gratitude to everyone who supported him and called on them to remember other political prisoners.
On August 19, 2021, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow sentenced Moscow State University student Said-Mukhamad Dzhumaev to five years in prison. According to investigators, on January 23, 2021, at an opposition rally on Pushkin Square in Moscow, he punched and kicked two riot police officers and a police officer. The "victims" in protective gear were not injured, and in court they dropped their claims.

After being transported, Dzhumaev was repeatedly placed in a punishment cell in IK-2 in the city of Pokrov in the Vladimir Region and IK-3 in the village of Zeleny in the Tambov Region.
