Georgia's ruling party has initiated amendments to the Law on Assemblies and Manifestations and the Code of Administrative Offenses, the discussion and adoption of which will proceed expeditiously. According to the bill, organizers of events at "places where people move" will be required to notify state authorities in advance.
The attack on police officers in Chechnya was supervised by a Ukrainian citizen through subordinates in Turkey. In light of the incident, preventive measures against extremism and terrorism have been strengthened in the republic. This was announced by the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov.

On April 7, in the city of Achkhoy-Martan, a local resident attacked a traffic police post with a knife. The police officers were stabbed. Two law enforcement officers were taken to the hospital, one of whom later died. The attacker was eliminated by return fire.
