Kavelashvili will meet with Armenian leaders in Yerevan

The sixth president of Georgia, Mikheil Kavelashvili, actually appointed by the ruling party, went on a visit to Armenia. This is reported by the administration of the President of the country. This will be Kavelashvila's third foreign trip after his inauguration.

In Yerevan, the Georgian guest will be received by his colleague Vahagn Khachaturyan at the presidential palace. Negotiations will be held both face-to-face and in an open format.

Kavelashvili is also scheduled to meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Catholicos of All Armenians Haregin II.

Earlier, the sixth president of Georgia visited Azerbaijan and the funeral of the Pope in the Vatican. It is noteworthy that the predecessor of Kavelashvili - the fifth president Salome Zurabishvili - also came to the farewell ceremony - independently of the Georgian delegation. Let us remind you that she considers herself the only legitimate representative of the government in Georgia.

"It was an honor for me to visit the Vatican on an official visit as the president of Georgia and agree on important steps to strengthen ties between our states and cultures," Zurabishvili wrote on social networks after the funeral of Pope Francis.
