A meeting of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee was held in Moscow, dedicated to countering the spread of terrorist ideology, neo-Nazism, and religious extremism in the North Caucasus Federal District.

On August 23, the Ministry of Justice of Russia included in the register of foreign agents, which already included the previously liquidated "Committee against Torture", the "Team against Torture". This was reported in the organization's Telegram channel.
The “Team Against Torture” also stated that it continues to work and will appeal against the decision of the Ministry of Justice.
Anyone who is under “foreign influence”, a clear definition of which the law does not contain, can be recognized as a foreign agent in Russia. To date, the register includes about 450 "foreign agents", including individuals, the media, non-profit organizations and social movements.
The status of a foreign agent imposes on the organization the obligation to provide a quarterly report on the movement of funds in the accounts, as well as to mark all public messages. Failure to comply with these obligations is punishable by law, up to and including imprisonment.
