According to Rostov region Governor Yuri Slyusar, the strikes hit the Kasharsky and Sholokhovsky districts, where wildfires had been raging for several days due to falling drone debris. Local authorities have not reported any damage.
The attack in Kuban has not been commented on. Rosaviatsiya reports that airports in Sochi and Gelendzhik were suspended for several hours overnight due to a drone threat. One flight was delayed in Gelendzhik, while at least nine departures and six arrivals were delayed in Sochi.
Destruction was reported in other regions of Russia following the overnight attack. The Proton-M defense plant, which manufactures rocket engines, caught fire in Perm.
That same night, the Russian army attacked Ukraine with 174 drones and four missiles, two of which, according to the Ukrainian side, were launched from the Black Sea. The Kyiv and Odesa regions received the brunt of the attacks, with eight casualties reported.
