Crimean Tatar Political Prisoner Spent 50 Days in Shizo

Crimean Tatar Uzeyir Abdullayev left the SHIZO colony in Salavat (Bashkortostan), where he spent 10 days. In total, the political prisoner spent more than 50 days in the punishment cell and suffers from an acquired heart defect.

In June 2019, the North Caucasus District Military Court in Rostov-on-Don sentenced the brothers Teymur and Uzeir Abdullayev to 17 and 13 years' imprisonment, respectively.
Crimean Tatars were detained for involvement in the political activities of the Islamic party «Hizb ut-Tahrir», which is prohibited in Russia. It operates on the territory of Ukraine and the countries of the world without restrictions at the level of national legislation.
