On September 14, the Court of Appeals of Georgia began reviewing the case concerning the events of October 4, 2025, when participants in an opposition protest allegedly attempted to bring about a "peaceful transfer of power." The majority of those convicted in the case are opposition politicians.

On September 13, the body of Colonel Khavazhi Amayev—an Ichkerian fighter with the Chechen volunteer Sheikh Mansur Battalion, which fights on Ukraine's side—was found in a Lviv apartment bearing multiple stab wounds. Amayev was better known by the call sign "Zumso."

Yashar Shikhametov, a Crimean Tatar and political prisoner currently serving a sentence in a penal colony in Russia's Kemerovo region, has been assigned Group III disability status.
