Lithuania Bans Georgian Officials Responsible for Crackdown on Protests
Lithuania has imposed a ban on entry for a number of Georgian officials. This was written on social media by Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis, who is soon to resign.

The founder of Georgia's ruling party, oligarch Bidzina Ivanishvili, Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri, his high-ranking colleagues, and heads of other security agencies were subject to sanctions.

Earlier, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia announced that they had agreed to jointly impose national sanctions "against those who suppress legitimate protests in Georgia," NGnewsgeorgia reports.

Recall that the rallies in Tbilisi erupted in response to the authorities' announcement of their intention to suspend negotiations on Georgia's accession to the EU until 2028.
