15-year-old Chechen boy Muslim Murdiyev was transferred from a Moscow pretrial detention center to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region. The boy's mother appealed to Vladimir Putin and Ramzan Kadyrov, asking them to ensure her son's safety.
According to her, he is receiving threats of retaliation for the incident with Nikita Zhuravel, who was previously beaten in Grozny by Adam Kadyrov.
The boy's lawyer, Aslanbek Minkailov, published a statement from Muslim Murdiyev's mother.
"Since the end of September 2025, my son has been held in Moscow's Pretrial Detention Center No. 5, Vodnik. By court order, he was sentenced to one year and 11 months. He had approximately 30 days left on his sentence. On June 5, he received notice of an urgent transfer to a juvenile correctional facility in the Volgograd region," she reported. She said she was particularly concerned about her son's transfer to the Volgograd region, where Nikita Zhuravel is from.
"After the appeal, and most recently, our family received numerous threats concerning the life and health of the minor. Some messages read, 'Greetings from Volgograd, we will avenge Nikita Zhuravel.' We take these threats very seriously and are concerned for the child's safety," she said.
The message included screenshots of two threats. In one, the teenager was hinted at being "shorn."
"Are you surprised that he was sent straight into our hands, to the hero city of Volgograd? Everything is going according to plan. For what your medal-winning hero did to the defenseless Russian boy Nikita Zhuravel, you will receive a hundredfold retribution through your favorite Muslim," one of the messages was quoted as saying.
As a reminder, on September 25, 2023, Ramzan Kadyrov published a video of his son Adam beating Nikita Zhuravel in a Grozny pretrial detention center. He was later convicted of burning the Koran.
On September 29, 2025, the Savelovsky Court of Moscow sentenced Muslim Murdiyev to one year and eleven months in prison. According to investigators, in September 2023, five teenagers, including Murdiyev, beat eight people near the Aviapark shopping center in Moscow and Khodynskoye Pole Park. Law enforcement officials believe the students deliberately started verbal confrontations with random passersby, followed by the attacks.
The teenager and his lawyers categorically deny his guilt. According to the defense, the charges were based on the circumstances of a fight in which Muslim stood up for a younger boy. The defense later complained about the harsh escort of Muslim Murdiyev. The Ministry of Internal Affairs responded that “the facts stated in the appeal were not objectively confirmed.”
