Less than 5% of residents of Chechnya and Dagestan can take out a mortgage for an apartment
In Karachay-Cherkessia, Dagestan and Chechnya, buying a typical two-room apartment on a mortgage is available to less than 5% of the population. The figure is lower only in Sevastopol (2.8%) and Crimea (2.3%), according to the RIA Novosti rating.

According to analysts, this is due to low incomes of citizens, and in Crimea - to high real estate prices.

The situation is slightly better in other regions of the North Caucasus Federal District. Thus, in Ingushetia, the share of families who can take out a mortgage for a two-room apartment is 5.1%, in North Ossetia and Kabardino-Balkaria - 5.3%, in Stavropol Krai - 7.7%.

The leaders of the rating were the Yamalo-Nenets and Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrugs and Magadan Oblast. More than 35% of families can afford to buy a two-room apartment with a mortgage here.

Experts used data from the Central Bank, Rosstat and SberIndex. The loan amount was calculated for a two-room apartment with an area of 60 square meters in their region with a down payment of 30%.
