Russia has stated its readiness to consider joining the TRIPP project (the transport corridor between Armenia and Azerbaijan). Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova announced at a briefing that Moscow is interested in participating and is prepared to offer Russian Railways' expertise for the project's implementation.
Recently, Deputy Speaker of the Armenian Parliament Ruben Rubinyan stated that Russia's participation in the TRIPP project is not under discussion.
"We are pleased that they are ready to discuss it with us. If you want me to repeat it 160 times, there are no such discussions. I do not answer hypothetical questions," Rubinyan emphasized.
Earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that the "Trump Route" could play a key role in ensuring unimpeded communication between Europe, the South Caucasus, and Central Asia. He also stated that a "TRIPP Company" would be registered in Armenia. This joint Armenian-American venture will have the right to develop railways and highways, oil and gas pipelines, and fiber-optic cables.
