The potential loss of voting rights within the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) is unlikely to become a major issue for Armenia. This view was expressed on November 6 by Leonid Kalashnikov, head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, in an interview with RTVI, amid discussions regarding possible restrictive measures against Yerevan.
According to a report from the Russian Ministry of Defense regarding attacks that took place on the night of November 6, air defense forces "intercepted and destroyed" 142 Ukrainian drones over eight Russian regions, occupied Crimea, and the waters of two seas. The regions targeted included Krasnodar Krai, as well as the Rostov and Astrakhan regions.
The operational headquarters for Krasnodar Krai provided an update on the aftermath of the overnight drone raid via its official Telegram channel.
"In the settlement of Afipsky, in the Seversky District, debris from a drone caused a fire at one of the local industrial facilities," the statement reads.
While the specific facility was not named, the operational headquarters reported that there were no casualties.
The post also noted that drone debris shattered the windows of an apartment in a low-rise residential building. A subsequent post reminded residents of the Kuban region that filming drones or the operation of air defense systems is prohibited.
According to Ukrainian monitoring channels, the facility mentioned by the regional operational headquarters is the Afipsky Oil Refinery. The refinery produces, among other things, diesel fuel and aviation kerosene, which are used to power vehicles and aircraft. It has an annual processing capacity of approximately 9.1 million tons of oil.
The Telegram channel "Axikenova+" reported a series of explosions near the refinery, as well as thick smoke drifting from the industrial zone toward the city of Krasnodar. "Surveillance footage shows at least one fire burning within the industrial zone of the facility," Supernova+ reported.
Of the total number of drones shot down by Russian air defense forces overnight, more than 15 were intercepted in the Don region. Governor Yury Slyusar announced this on his Telegram channel this morning, specifying that the UAVs were destroyed in Rostov-on-Don and Taganrog, as well as in seven districts of the Rostov Region: Azovsky, Dubovsky, Zernogradsky, Kamensky, Millerovsky, Myasnikovsky, and Neklinovsky.
"There have been no reports of casualties or damage on the ground. This information is being verified," he added.
Authorities in the Astrakhan Region have not commented on the attack.
