At the EAEU summit in St. Petersburg, Pashinyan announced via video link that he will not go to Minsk either
During the summit of the EAEU countries in St. Petersburg, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced via video link that his delegation will not go to Minsk next year either. Since 2025, Belarus has been the country chairing the EAEU, and Yerevan will again participate only remotely.

"What's the problem? Is Minsk far from you? Or is there no one to give you a ride? Well, we will organize the delivery of your delegation, if necessary," Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko suggested in response.

Pashinyan, in turn, noted that he had previously made a statement about his decision. Thus, he reported that no official representative of Armenia will visit Belarus again while Lukashenko is president there. According to him, the Belarusian leader participated in the preparation of the 44-day war against Armenia on the side of Azerbaijan.

Nikol Pashinyan refused to come to St. Petersburg and/or, in particular, to meet with Putin on December 23, allegedly due to coronavirus infection. However, on December 25, the test showed a negative result.
