The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has published a report alleging that Georgian authorities used chemical weapons during the suppression of pro-European protests in Tbilisi in 2024. The chemical weapon in question is bromobenzyl cyanide, a chemical warfare agent dating back to World War I, also known as "kamit."
The subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District took the last places in the rating of Russian regions by availability of gasoline. The worst situation is in Ingushetia and Chechnya, where the average salary can buy 640 and 678 liters per month.
In Dagestan, residents can buy 712 liters of gasoline with their earnings, in Kabardino-Balkaria - 724, in Karachay-Cherkessia - 746, in North Ossetia - 751.
The situation is slightly better in Stavropol Krai - it ranks 72nd. In this region, the average salary can buy 876 liters of gasoline.
In the country, the leaders in this indicator are Yamal, Moscow and Chukotka, where you can buy more than two thousand liters of fuel per month, with the all-Russian level of 1,385 liters. At the beginning of 2025, gasoline prices continued to rise: in April, in Russia as a whole, it cost 2.4 percent more than in December 2024.
