Georgia's ruling party has initiated amendments to the Law on Assemblies and Manifestations and the Code of Administrative Offenses, the discussion and adoption of which will proceed expeditiously. According to the bill, organizers of events at "places where people move" will be required to notify state authorities in advance.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has put forward four key conditions for ending the war in Ukraine. This was reported to Reuters by sources.
The first condition is guarantees of Ukraine's non-accession to NATO, as well as the exclusion of Georgia and Moldova from joining the alliance even at the discussion level. The second is recognition of Ukraine's neutral status and its refusal of military alliances. Next is the partial lifting of sanctions and the unfreezing of Russian gold and foreign exchange assets by the West. And finally, the fourth is the protection of the Russian-speaking population in Ukraine.
Recall that the Constitution of Georgia enshrines accession to NATO as a goal, but the Georgian Dream government has stopped publicly raising this issue.
