Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze posed for a photo with several politicians, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a forum in Turkmenistan dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust. Ombudsman of Ukraine: at least 183 Crimean Tatars are illegally detained and subject to repression by the Russian authorities
Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said that at least 183 Crimean Tatars were illegally detained in Russian-occupied Crimea. “These people are political prisoners. They are kept in prisons both in Crimea and in Russia. Places of detention change after the decision of the court. In most cases, we cannot determine where they are kept,” Lubinets said.
The Ombudsman noted that there is probably a separate place on the peninsula for the gathering of pro-Ukrainian activists. According to him, since 2014, the Russian authorities have continued to identify Ukrainian citizens who are ready to resist.
