The Georgian opposition warned about the beginning of “annexation” by Russia

Leaders of Georgian opposition parties commented on the decision of the Abkhaz parliament to ratify the agreement with Russia on the transfer of ownership of the Pitsunda state dacha to it. The opposition of Abkhazia also protested against the decision of its authorities.

“The President of Russia, wanted by the Hague prosecutor’s office, is appropriating Georgian property. It must be stated that this is the beginning of the annexation of Georgia,” said the leader of the European Democrats party, Paata Davitaia.

In turn, the head of the For Georgia party, Giorgi Gakharia, wrote on the social network that Russia has taken another step towards the annexation of occupied Abkhazia against the background of the policy of silence of the ruling Georgian Dream. “The occupation regime of Sukhumi satisfied the request of the occupying country and handed over the resort to Russia, completely disregarding the will of the Georgian and Abkhaz peoples. Such “decisions” are illegal. Together with our Abkhaz compatriots, we must reclaim our land,” the publication says.

The Pitsunda state dacha complex is transferred to the Russian side with land plots and the sea area adjacent to the facility under a lease for 49 years in the amount of 1 ruble per year for each plot. The state dacha building itself is transferred into ownership.
