Today, Azerbaijan celebrates the 34th anniversary of its restoration of state independence. On August 30, 1991, the Supreme Council of the Republic adopted the Declaration on the Restoration of Independence, and on October 18 of the same year, the Constitutional Act enshrining this status was adopted.

Daria Polyudova, a Kuban activist of the Left Resistance, sentenced to nine years, was sent to a punishment cell in colony No. 4 of Kabardino-Balkaria. The Federal Penitentiary Service stated that the reason for this was the fact that a blade was found on the activist, and “some kind of violation.” Earlier, Polyudova went on a hunger strike in the colony in connection with a planted blade.
In 2022, Darya Polyudova was sentenced to 9 years in prison on charges of inciting extremism and creating an extremist community. The verdict also included a previous punishment - in 2021, the court found her guilty of publicly justifying terrorism because of a post about Chechen field commander Shamil Basayev and Aslan Maskhadov. She was also accused of making positive statements about the actions of Yevgeny Manyurov, who opened fire in December 2019 near the FSB buildings on Lubyanka.
