The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry responded to the broadcast of a distorted map on Russia's Channel One. The program, "Vremya Pokazhet," presented Nagorno-Karabakh as a separate territory within Azerbaijan. Baku requested an explanation from Russia, calling the incident a serious provocation and unacceptable political manipulation.
The relations between Yerevan and Tbilisi are an example of what cooperation between the countries of the region should be. This was stated by the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, who arrived in Georgia on an official visit.
He recalled that both states respect each other's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and this is an important factor in establishing peace and stability in the South Caucasus.
According to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze, his country supports stability and peaceful coexistence in the South Caucasus and welcomes the signing of a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan in the near future. Kobakhidze also thanked Pashinyan for the "historic decision" - supporting the UN resolution on Georgian refugees. This is a resolution recognizing the right of all refugees to return to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. This year, the document was supported by 103 countries - this is the largest support for Georgia since 2008.
