Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan of trying to escalate the situation in the South Caucasus

Despite all agreements, Azerbaijan continues to try to aggravate the situation on the border with Armenia, in Nagorny Karabakh and in the Lachin corridor. This was stated by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at a briefing with Czech counterpart Petr Fiala in Prague.

The installation by Azerbaijan of a checkpoint in the corridor and the blockade of the road Pashinyan called «a gross violation of the tripartite statement and the decision of the UN International Court».

For four months the gas supply in Nagorno-Karabakh has been cut off, there are power outages, and food products are sold on coupons. The international community should assess the actions of Baku, send a fact-finding mission to Karabakh and Lachin», - said Pashinyan. According to him, Yerevan adheres to the agenda of peace, is involved in the negotiation process and hopes that Azerbaijan will renounce belligerent rhetoric and threats to use force.
